Synopsis:
Sink your fangs into Lora Leigh's series about genetically altered humans with feline DNA. When the Breeds desire the passions of the flesh, they can't help but get frisky... Harmony Lancaster is of the Lion Breed, created to be a huntress with a thirst to kill. But the way she seeks justice outside the law makes her a liability to her own kind. Yet she also possesses information that they need on the existence of the first Leo - who holds the precious secrets of desire. To save her life, Harmony is paired with Sheriff Lance Jacobs, who tries to tame the killer within her, while protecting the gentle woman he longs to possess. But a dangerous cult leader, bent on destroying the Breeds, could change the way Lance looks at Harmony forever..
As the second mainstream book, Harmony's Way is more fleshed out that the previous eroticas, while still being highly erotic, the main focus has shifted to expanding the world and sharing more than the couples getting together even though it's still a big part of the book it's not the main focus.

This story almost broke my heart because Lora was not afraid to hurt our main characters at all.  This flew by so quickly because I just needed to know what was happening and how this was going to affect not just the main character but the Breed world as a whole.  Paired with Lance to help save her life Harmony doesn't know how to go about the world of the humans and often resorts to the way the facilities where run as a way to handle the world around her.

She seeks revenge on those who seek to harm the weaker Breeds, while aiding their cause on the ground if the world found out then Breeds wouldn't be seen as the victims anymore and with less than a thousand people having the world coming after you means you won't survive long.  Harmony was such a wonderfully complex character who was a badass, she didn't fear fighting or surviving but moving beyond that was scary for her because of all she knows.

She has many who would love to own her, and several who would love to protect her but Harmony doesn't know how to let go with any of them until Lance.  Lance sees her as the warrior she is and still wants the woman inside as well.

I loved the unfolding of their story, the descriptions of the world they lived in. this time we are back in the desert and among the Nation, and slowly other lines are being laid out for further stories while giving us more about the characters we have already met.  Jonas is of course here still being Jonas, the manipulator and protector of the Breeds, moving and pushing people into doing what he wants all in the name of protecting the Breeds.  We start to see more of the first Leo as well, because Callan isn't the first and more about how long the Genetics Council has been around has made it's way into the books.

I loved the mystery and race to see how far everyone would go to get the information Harmony had, How far Harmony would go to protect that information and where this would leave everyone. That battle at the end almost broke my heart and I really started to tear up because damn that would have really hurt.  I loved the book, the revelations, the tension, the build-up and of course all the other clues being laid out for us.  Each book just builds on the other and this story just keeps getting bigger, better, and at the same time the knowledge of what the Council did makes the story worse.

As wit everything I have read so far, I highly recommend.
 ★★★★☆
Happy Reading my loves,
