Synopsis:
Subject: Navy SEAL Petty Officer Brody Lane Current Status: On leave Obstacle: The one girl who was off-limits… Where navy SEAL "Bad Ass" Brody Lane goes, trouble follows. Being run out of his hometown years ago for misbehaving with Genna Reilly—the sheriff's daughter—was one thing. Now Brody is about to step into real danger. Not the suggestive letters he's been exchanging with Genna, but the kind of trouble that can send a soldier home injured and broken inside… Genna's entire life has been orchestrated by her family. The right job. The right friends. Enough! Brody's return offers the promise of lust-filled pleasures. Of flesh teased and tasted. She's not expecting to find a soldier with distant eyes who has secluded himself from the world. But this good girl knows exactly how to bring a bad boy back to life…. Uniformly Hot! The Few. The Proud. The Sexy as Hell

This book is written about my favorite kind of men. Military men, specifically Navy men!! Right there she had me hooked then we met Brody and I was a goner. I liked him and loved him, he's a bad boy who ends up in the military in the most unconventional way possible; but discovers that he has a home there and eventually makes a life for himself.  He left behind Genna, the one girl who made him forget about common sense, who just happens to be his best friend's sister, oh and also is the reason he ended up in the miltary.

The writing style, the conversations; everything about this book flowed well.  The plot moved quickly the characters are witty and well written with depth and good and realistic lives.  I loved the characters, especially Genna who is very kick butt when she wants to be, but I totally get why she has lived her life to please her parents for as long as she did.  Brody stayed away from town because it held no good memories for him, he'd grown up and become successful in the Navy but when a mission takes a turn for the left and he's left wondering if he's going to remain in the Navy his Grandmother guilt trips him home.

I really enjoyed reading as Genna outgrew her desire to please her parents, and instead embraced her own dreams, I loved how much faith she had in Brody and how that inspired Brody even when he couldn't see past his nose.  As a couple they totally worked well together.  Even with the small town gossip and her disapproving father, Genna held strong and really pushed for what she wanted without being a crazy woman.

I cracked up quite a bit reading this book especially in the beginning when Genna's talking to Macy about the mail. I especially loved the letters between the two of them, those wee inspired and fun.  I really loved the couple together, their moments of intimacy were very hot to read and the build up to those moments even hotter.

It was a very fast read, I'm not sure I ever read a Tawny Weber book before but I certainly will be reading her from now on.
 ★★★★☆
I give it four stars all around, with four steamy erotica stars for their love scenes.  I recommend for all those who like me love men in uniform. Or if you just want a fun romance.
Happy Reading
