Synopsis:
When Rory Macintosh’s roommates find out that their studious and shy friend has never been with a guy, they decide that, as an act of kindness they’ll help her lose her virginity by hiring confident, tattooed bad boy Tyler Mann to do the job…unbeknownst to Rory. Tyler knows he’s not good enough for Rory. She’s smart, doctor smart, while he’s barely scraping by at his EMT program, hoping to pull his younger brothers out of the hell their druggy mother has left them in. But he can’t resist taking up her roommates on an opportunity to get to know her better. There’s something about her honesty that keeps him coming back when he knows he shouldn’t… Torn between common sense and desire, the two find themselves caught up in a passionate relationship. But when Tyler’s broken family threatens to destroy his future, and hers, Rory will need to decide whether to cut her ties to his risky world or follow her heart, no matter what the cost…
Now I remember why I love this author. I read Pregnancy Test years ago and still chuckle when I think of the characters.  I was kind of afraid to pick this up because not all authors can still bring that awesomeness years later.  I needed had worried Erin's still got it.  I laughed quite a bit in this novel and also got a little chocked up.

I could totally relate to Rory; I will say I wish they had given a bit of warning, I almost couldn't read the beginning of the novel due to the scene that takes place. (A trigger warning for those who need it)  Rory is a great character, I loved her right from the start, she was a little awkward, a little socially uncomfortable and a full on nerd.  She's nerdy, funny and kinda reminds me of Dr. Brennan from Bones, where she;s completely clueless about human feelings and like Brennan, Rory struggled with being connected to others, because of her upbringing.

Enter in Tyler who is more than he appears, he's both a good looking bad ass and a book lover, he's the bad boy with a heart of gold, who comes from a world Rory doesn't understand.  With a dream, & a goal and a focus Tyler is looking towards the future when he is betrayed and people in Rory's life try to keep them apart.

I loved Rory and Tyler together and the story takes a turn that almost breaks the heart.  Reading this book (having not left college too long ago) I think of all the relationships I saw, and reading these reminded me so much of some of my friends. Rory's lesson on love and friendship are beautiful to read and I love that the story isn't the way you expect it to go.

Having just read a book about addiction from the perspective of the children of addicts I totally feel for Ty;er and his brothers. I sobbed a little in the scene with U, just so heartbreaking.  These poor kids are going to need some serious help and poor Tyler & Riley are left picking up the pieces when it all comes crashing down.
 ★★★★
Anyone else tear up when they realized what the tattoos meant?? I know I cried a little when U said what he did to Rory.  I LOVED this story and can't wait to read the rest!!!!  Reading this story makes me want to read way more New Adult books!! Which of course is always a good thing right?? **another excuse I know, it's a good addiction though**
Happy Reading
