7 Series to Complete (Update)

Hi my loves

I'm sharing about my previous challenges and where I am in those challenges I am working on.  One thing I can say is when I love an author's writing I purchase everything it's one of the reasons you can see on each month's wrap up that an author's name is repeated every month.  Which of course leads to so many series ending up on my shelves.  As a way to clean that up I have been challenging myself to complete a few series.  Here are the original five  series I was supposed to work on.  These don't include my perpetual author list. However since then i have added way too may other series to be completed. These are just a few of the books with the most books on the shelves or the ones I have been reading the longest.

Darynda Jones Charley Davidson Series. I have a few of these left as well. I'm trying not to take this series too seriously because at times the characters are just. UGH
  1. Fifth Grave Past the Light Currently Reading
  2. Sixth Grave on The Edge
  3. Seventh Grave & No Body
  4. Eighth Grave After Dark
  5. The Dirt On Ninth Grave

  2. Dragonfly In Amber
  3. Voyager
  4. Drums of Autumn
  5. The Fiery Cross
  6. A Breath of Snow & Ashes
  7. An Echo In The Bone
  8. Written In My Own Heart Blood
Newest book Go Tell The Bees I'm Gone not sure when this one comes out, it doesn't show a date on the system.

Heather Graham: Way too many to list, but I'm focusing on the romantic thriller series she has going. the Krewe of Hunters as much as possible, I do also own a few of er historicals but I have seen a few recent reviews that make me want to rethink reading those now as an adult.
  1. Heart of Evil # 2
  2. Sacred Evil # 3
  3. The Evil Inside # 4
  4. The Unholy #5
  5. The Unspoken #7

  3. Searching for Always
I can't wait to check in again at the end of the year to see how far we have come in each series.  Have you read any of these series or books my loves?? Share with me down below.

Welcome August 2022

Hi My loves,

It's been a while. I've been posting sporadically recently and just trying to share when I feel like sharing. This month I want to try to see if I can come back to blogging or if this is now in the past. I miss this actually and the community of book lovers. While I follow somewhat on twitter, it isn't the same really because there I'm interacting mostly with authors and not really with other big readers like myself.

With this new variant and the newest concerns in endemics and a new pandemic brewing I'm trying to stay clear of all the crazy by being home and reading. I work in healthcare so I'm freaking out but using reading to escape.  My reading this year has been the best it's been in years.  I have read some beautiful books, some that have broken me open and some that are a must read for everyone who calls themselves an ally to children and the black community.   Today, August 1st in my faith is the first harvest, it's a day of celebrating what you planted in the beginning of the season and the start of putting away for the harsh winter ahead.   It's also a time for introspection. During this season I want to focus more and study more about my faith, which means digging deeper into the non fiction books on my shelves.

I'm not going to share a big elaborate reading plan because I never stick to them. I want to keep reading like i have been, working on my challenges and taking on at least three of my spiritual books.  I'm also hoping to share more about my reading with you this month.

Goals for the month:

  1. To Read: 15 books
  2. Non Fiction Religious Goals: 3
  3. Read daily
  4. Blog at least once a week
  5. List more of my purge books on paperbackswap
  6. Update book planner pages
  7. Update blog pages

What goals and challenges do you have for the month my loves??

Truly I got most of this done because Nora's books are now on Scribd and they didn't throttle my reading this month so I knocked so many off the list and I'm loving it. I'm loving being able to clean up this shelf of books and can't wait to see what else I get done. I'm so excited to share with you my thoughts on these books especially because many are backlist books and from the late 80s and early 90s.

How has your reading year been so far?? Getting anything done on your 2022 reading goals?? Share in the comments so we can all cheer you on!!

See you in the next one
Happy reading my loves

Ok considering when I did this it was originally 72 books on the shelf from her. I'm not doing too bad. My major problem was that I would finish books or series then go to the library book sale and buy more because they used to be so cheap. However, the panorama we are living through (yes I know it's called a pandemic but we have decided to call it everything but that)  put a halt to the library book sale which means that I'm actually clearing more off the shelves than I am hauling.  Currently, this collection has dropped down to one shelf instead of a shelf and a half.

The goal for 2022 was 12 books, one a month was the plan. I have read a Nora Roberts book for the year so far however I actually didn't own it.  I paused my read of Night Tales because the audiobook version I was reading became unavailable so I'll have to find if the library has the discs.

Have you read any Nora Roberts?? I am aware of Books Like Whoa Reading Roberts Challenge, which echoes my Perpetual Author Challenge of reading Nora's entire catalog.

I'm excited to see what she has to say about the books she reads and shares her thought on them.  I will of course be sharing my updates on my challenge and how I'm doing in clearing the shelves. I'm not adding any new books because I really need to work through this stuff first. Yes, much of it is backlist and older but I'm looking forward to seeing how she grows (grew because obviously, she's still cranking them out).  My ultimate goal will be to knock these off them continue collecting the others I don't have and then go to her Inn. I want to stay in the Eve and Roarke room.

What have you read from Nora??? Want to work on your Nora backlist with me??
Happy Reading
Love
