Synopsis:
Love or life. Henry or their child. The end of her family or the end of the world. Kate must choose. During nine months of captivity, Kate Winters has survived a jealous goddess, a vengeful Titan and a pregnancy she never asked for. Now the Queen of the Gods wants her unborn child, and Kate can't stop her--until Cronus offers a deal. In exchange for her loyalty and devotion, the King of the Titans will spare humanity and let Kate keep her child. Yet even if Kate agrees, he'll destroy Henry, her mother and the rest of the council. And if she refuses, Cronus will tear the world apart until every last god and mortal is dead. With the fate of everyone she loves resting on her shoulders, Kate must do the impossible: find a way to defeat the most powerful being in existence, even if it costs her everything. Even if it costs her eternity
A wonderful conclusion to the series.  The way last book ended I couldn't wait to jump into this one, I mean really who saw that coming?? I'm so upset at this people involved (if you haven't read it I'm trying not to spoil it for you).
Once again Kate faces a choice, that let's face it isn't really a choice.  Having been betrayed by a close friend, and held against her will Kate tries to harness her powers and get to and stay strong for Henry.  An old enemy has returned and brought with them on of the Original Gods Cronus.  Yes that Cronus the one it took the entire counsel of Gods to put down; he's back for vengeance and he's going to use Kate to begin it.  As a villian Cronus is pretty damn crazy, I mean a man who would do what he did because Kate wouldn't do what he wanted her to do immediately?? Yeah he shouldn't be allowed to rule anything!!!

Poor Henry, every time he glimpses happiness someone does something to snatches it from him.  Caught in a game he has no control over, his enemies are to powerful and they hold all the cards at the moment.  How can he hope to win??  He's left to struggle with his previous beliefs, what others are trying to tell him and what his heart hopes for.  I loved reading Hades as this character, he was so nuanced and well rounded and I loved him!!

The answers are beautifully written. I loved catching back up  with Kate,Henry and their friends.  I didn't see the betrayal coming that took place in Goddess Interrupted, and to thing the level of power used to make it happen all because of jealousy, seriously who does all of that because you are happy and they aren't???  I wasn't totally angry once I understood the true motivations for Ava's betrayal and each character had different difficult choices, and each brought with it it's own challenges and emotional fallout.

I loved this book, I did want more from the story, not because it wasn't good, but because I didn't want it to end.  I can't believe it's done but I enjoyed reading it and must say Aimee is a wonderful author.
 ★★★★☆
The way it ended just showcases Kate's incredible capacity for love and forgiveness. I'm not so sure I would have and makes me wonder if after that counsel meeting it means Aimee is going to write another story told from someone elses POV.  It should be entertaining to read if she does it.  I loved the retelling of Persephone's story, it was a refreshing take and wonderfully written.

I highly recommend this book and the series
Happy Reading
