20 Books In 2020 From The Backlists:

Hi my loves,

After last year's boon of actually reading over 150 books, I'm so excited to try to see what I can complete this year. I raised the levels to 225 books. I wish to try 20 books again from the bookshelves that I have had for several years.

Here are some I'm looking to pull from the shelves to read this year:

Spiritual Books:
  1. Queen Afua
  2. How to Practice by His Holiness The Dalai Lama
  3. Jambayla by Luisah Teish
  4. Souls Revealed by Dawn Marie Daniels & Candace Smith
Fiction/Romance Books:
  1.  Hurts to Love You by Alisha Rai ( I didn't get to it during 2019 so I want to read more of her work this year.)
  2. Second Time Sweeter (Blessing 9) by Beverly Jenkins
  3. The Perfect Marriage by Kimberla Lawson Roby
  4. One In A Million by Kimberla Lawson Roby
  5. Changing Faces by Kimberla Lawson Roby
  6. A Taste of Reality by Kimberla Lawson Roby
  7. What looks like Crazy On An Ordinary Day by Connie Brixcoe
Young Adult
Piecing Me Together by Renee' Watson

Akata Witch by Nnedi Okorafor
The Chaos by Nalo Hopkinson

The Saltroads by Nalo Hopkinson

For Non-Fiction/ Cultural Discussion or as my mother loves to call it edifying reading:
Mules & Men by Zora Neale Hurston

Tell My Horse by Zora Neale Hurston

Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes
Shifting by Charisse Jones & Kumea Shorter Gooden PhD

Black Pain by Terrie M. Williams

A few of these are leftovers from last year that I want to get to this year; and I added on a few more that I want to see this year.

And that is is. I have a tone of others I'm looking forward to really diving into these.  What are you looking forward to reading this year??

And As Always, Happy Reading my loves
