Stacking The Shelves (2020) #1: The First Haul of the Year

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! If you want to find out more about Stacking The Shelves, please visit the official launch page! Stacking The Shelves now has a new host and check out that new image!!

Well the goal is to have only a few of these this year. I'm staying far from NetGalley unless it's to turn in reviews and I'm blocking some of my favorite bog tour groups. I need to catch up and that can't happen if I'm hauling new books. This year I'm only allowing myself to have 20 books added to the shelves.

I'm in a new space and haven't set up the library yet and need to move all my books and do a full inventory first.

With that in mind, here are a few of the books I ordered before the new year rolled around and the one ARC I accepted before the end of 2019.

Temporary Wife:Temptation

This is a new to me author Jayci Lee; the blurb we received said it was a marriage of convenience and a "friends to lovers" trope and that's honestly all I needed to sign up.

Pre-Order:
Just Don't Mention It by Estelle Maskame. I fell in love with the DIMLY series years ago and I love the story we got which was more than I expected. It's a mature YA that become NA as the story progresses. I highly recommend it. I can't wait to see what this one is about. +

Bookstore:

Duty Or Desire by Brenda Jackson. Because Brenda!! That is all.

Library Sale:

As you can see from my December wrap up I marathoned the books I was missing in the In Death series. I have Scribd and the narrator is phenomenal. I own most of the ones I caught up on but I was missing this one so I grabbed it at the library for $1.

Festive In Death (In Death 39)  by J.D. Robb

Dollar Tree:

Before going on holiday I snagged this one at the local dollar tree:

Grace Burrowes Lady Sophie's Christmas Wish. It's historical romance and the premise sounds cute so snagged me a copy.
Ilona Andrews Magic Binds (Kate Daniels 9)I've been collecting the series randomly and after meeting them in october I totally can't wait to dive into it.

While on vacation in Florida/ Georgia with my family for Christmas I managed to pick this up:

Jennifer Crusie It Must Be Christmas. (It's actually an anthology with two other authors) *I'm afraid to look to see if I actually have this. LOL  This will go on the holiday reading list for 2020.

Paperbackswap

Before I left for vacation I decided to use up a few credits I purchased on paperbackswap, because nothing I've read recently made te purge it cut so I had zero credits to use.  Instead of buying books from Bookoutlet's big sales this year I used some of the money for paperbackswap instead.

I snagged a few from a favorite author Shiloh Walker:

If You Hear Her (Ash Trilogy Book 1)

If You See Her (Ash Trilogy Book 2)

If You Know Her (Ash Trilogy Book 3)

An erotic anthology featuring Joey W Hill & Jaci Burton:

Laced With Desire.

Then even though I had the e-arc I had pre-ordered Grand Theft N.Y.E because support your favorite authors. Check out my review.

For the holidays because my family knows me well I got the following:

Tarot For Self-Care by Minerva Siegel.

Wellness Witch by Nikki Van De Car illustrated by Anisa Makhoul

Where the Crawdad Sing by Delia Owens

These I hauled months ago but apparently didn't share here so I'm adding these on as well:
Off Limits Lovers by Reese Ryan

His Marriage Demand by Yahrah St. John

Jacked Up (Fast Track 6) by Erin McCarthy (not sure when I got this one, it's new so *shrug*)

And that's it for now. What'd you get in your haul this week?? I do have a few pre-orders for the year so those should be coming in soon as well/  Share in the comments down below and I'll see you next week.

Happy Reading & Haulin' my loves
