What I've Been Watching This Month:

This month I have been loving Empire which has been amazing and mind blowing, and these writers don't want me to have a life. Although I have been downloading all the songs from every episode and if you're not watching you need to get your life.

And of course, Shonda Thursdays are a thing in my group of friends and my house and I won't lie, I'm a Gladiator (fangirl of Scandal) and I occasionally watch How To Get Away With Murder (I'm so behind I need to catch up before the episodes disappear on HULU).

Every Sunday night I have been turning into Downton Abbey, which I've been a fan of since the beginning and it just keeps getting better every season, this one has been the most volatile.  My beloved characters keep going through all these heartbreaking moments and I can't deal with it, I need some happy ending soon dammit.

Another British Fave of mine is Call The Midwife, I've caught up completely on the newest season and I can't wait until it comes back.  I loved the Christmas Special and can't wait to see what they have in store for us next season.  It should be interesting.

Another BBC fave that I have been catching up with is Orphan Black. I love this series and I'm totally enchanted with concepts, the characters, and just the craziness that was going on in the show. Just watch it if you haven't started yet.

It's the final season of Lost Girl ( unfortunately the link no longer exists to the page) and I'm sobbing my heart out, they pulled no punches when they came back and they really shared so much and made the world so much more diverse than before.  I loved me some Hale he's the best Siren ever!! I'm buying all the seasons when the show is over.

I'm also a huge fan of Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Grimm (why the heck are they on break??) The 100, and of course Supernatural.  I'm so excited that so many of my other shows are coming back soon, I'm tired of them going on hiatus, gimmie my episode man.  LOL

What have you been watching??  I'm conquering this pile slowly but surely, how about you?? What's you read this month?? Anything fun on your list?? Thanks for stopping by, make sure to share if you've read any of these in the comments section.

Happy Reading and Welcome in February

Stacking The Shelves (5) (February 2015) Part Deux

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! If you want to find out more about Stacking The Shelves, please visit the official launch page!

I'm afraid I wasn't very good at staying clear of book buying this week or really in the past few weeks to be honest. It's just so easy to click and get it. So here are my embarrassment of riches. Although I'm not really embarrassed at all, I still bargain shopped like a Boss.

Free
Tall, Tatted, & Tempting (The Reed Brothers Book #1) I got it because Jen from Jen's Library on Booktube raved about it.

Unethical (Entangled Embrace) Jennifer Blackwood. I got this because I'm a member of Entangled's newsletter.  Every week they send a new one each week and let you know what's going on on their website, including giving you a chance to win free books and letting you know about sales each week.

A Valentine From Harlequin, an Anthology.  I'm apart of Harlequin's newsletter and when they send it out there's usually one book for free and this month it was this one. I'm down for anything free y'all.

From The Library

Spellbound by Sylvia Day

Reason to Breathe Rebecca Donovan

Eveneath Brody Ashton\

Evertrue (Everneath 3)  Brody Ashton

Things I Can't Forget Miranda Keneally

Purchased
Yep I had the nerve to actually buy a few too. Don't be giving me them looks. I deserve it after these crazy weeks to get some books.  I'm a member of the Entangled Subscription, so they let me know when books are coming out and when they are on sale. I got the following:
One Percenter by D.R Graham. It was only a dollar.

Drawn To You by Serena Grey

Their Stepsister Alexa Riley. I got it for a dollar because my favorite Smut Blog shared their review and loved it, so I snagged it.
Memories of Us by H.K. Carlton.  One of my favorite authors raved about it on twitter so I bought it. It was $3.99. One of my fave authors raved about ti on twitter.

Rocky Mountain Heat ( Six Pack Ranch Book 1) Vivan Arend   this was another recommendation from from one of my other erotica blogs ( I can't remember which otherwise I would link to them).

NetGalley

The Ear's Defiant Wallflower by Erica Ridley

Virgin's Night Out by Shiloh Walker

Yeah I probably should have quit while I was ahead, but you know two books off the TBR 25 have to go on. LOL. I'm never going to hit 0 by 2016 like some of those booktubers are aiming for. Not at this rate anyway.

How are you doing?? Are you as bad as I am or did you hold off longer?? Either way share it in the comment section.

Thanks for stopping by

Originally Reviewed on The Bewitching Bibliophile

I went into this with no memory of the synopsis, because that's really how I love to read my books. As a smaller  book it went pretty quickly, however I found that I wasn't as engaged as I normally am. It's very rare for me not to love one of these but there were just too many moments that weren't fleshed out enough for me so I found it to be an okay read, it ended just a little too smoothly for me.

It was a cute story but I didn't feel like they had real chemistry between them.  There was a lot of potential but it just didn't quite make it. Part of the reason it didn't work for me was the female protagonist was too childish as I was reading the book.  She whined way too much, who doesn't wan ta  partner who wants to work at your relationship??  Just about every step the male character made wasn't right for her, she had this idea in her head of her perfect relationship and she wasn't willing to see the real perfection in front of her instead of the one she created in her head. No matter what he did he did it wrong. Even if it was exactly what she wanted. I just wanted to kick her. Like you ungrateful girl.   Kelly what part of not everybody needs to know doesn't she understand.  Do you not know about the old adage to keep it yourself until you're past the stage of a problem happening??   She got annoying fast  because for someone intent on having kids she did no research, bought no books, nothing where as he went shopping and thought things through.  Kelly he's not your dad so stop being stupid.

The characters have a few tough moments in their relationship, including one that can break most relationships and yet it wasn't quite fleshed out, it just brushed over it for a few paragraphs.  It didn't do the justice it needed and didn't give it enough of chance to bring them together.

I never really felt like the male character was really in it at first, it really felt like he was going for the challenge as she accused him of. But then at the same time she kept doubting him so much I felt like he deserved more from her considering he's one of her best friends. I just couldn't get why she didn't trust that he knew her so well.  He accepted the changes in his life really quickly and I wanted some conflict from him, even if it was just him taking a day or two to process then coming back. It was like this wasn't planned so why aren't you freaking out??

The ending was kinda rushed and felt like it was just to wrap it up.  As I said I really didn't feel the chemistry between the characters, so this isn't a happy read for me.

Have you read it?? Let me know what you thought in the comments down below

The Return by Jennifer L Armentrout
The Fates are cackling their bony asses off… It’s been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. And so far, the jobs they’ve given him have been violent and bloody–which is kind of all right with him. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth. He’s got to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet. Josie has no idea what this crazy hot guy’s deal might be, but it’s a good bet that his arrival means the new life she started after leaving home is about to be thrown into an Olympian-sized blender turned up to puree. Either Josie is going insane or a nightmare straight out of ancient myth is gunning for her. But it might be the unlikely attraction simmering between her and the golden-eyed, secret-keeping Seth that may prove to be the most dangerous thing of all. Because history has once again been flipped to repeat. Book 1 in the new adult paranormal TITAN series, spin-off to the best selling COVENANT series.

She returns to the Uffizi, but no one recognizes her and more disturbingly, she discovers that she’s been absent an entire week. With no recollection of the events leading up to her disappearance, Raven also learns that her absence coincides with one of the largest robberies in Uffizi history – the theft of a set of priceless Botticelli illustrations.
