Synopsis:
Alyssa Cole returns with a fun, sexy romance novella in the Reluctant Royals series!

While her boss the prince was busy wooing his betrothed, Likotsi had her own love affair after swiping right on a dating app. But her romance had ended in heartbreak, and now, back in NYC again, she’s determined to rediscover her joy—so of course she runs into the woman who broke her heart.

When Likotsi and Fabiola meet again on a stalled subway train months later, Fab asks for just one cup of tea. Likotsi, hoping to know why she was unceremoniously dumped, agrees. Tea and food soon leads to them exploring the city together, and their past, with Fab slowly revealing why she let Likotsi go, and both of them wondering if they can turn this second chance into a happily ever after.

***Snippet Reviews: Called that because I don't want the review to be longer than the book***

This is the first novella in the series and it's awesome. This is the story of Likotsi and she's back in the US to help the future monarchs as Ledi finishes her degree and she herself has a chance to forget what happened the last time she was here. When she was here last and Thabiso was botching his way through falling in love, she was busy meeting the woman she was sure was the one and then at some point it all goes wrong.

I loved the way this novella was set up, it's told from both Fabiola and Likotsi's POV with Likotsi being the main voice and sharing her side of the events. As she goes about her mission to move on past Fab and see NYC the way she should she runs into the literal ghost from her broken heart and must confront her belief about what happened and either get past it all or fight for another chance.

Fabiola for her part did what she thought she had to do to help her family. You see she's an immigrant and her family is struggling with an aunt who is in the process right now and they are all on pins and needles waiting for it to go through (totally relatable). As the story progresses and you see the two young women fall in love and then Fabiola's choices come up and she has to break their hearts. I just wanted to hold her and fix it.

They were sexy, sweet and honestly Likotsi could totally get it. I loved how modern the women were and how much they knew about themselves and wanted for their partners. I really loved Likotsi's obsession with her outfits because she was serving looks ok?!!! *fans self* Did I mention that a well dressed stud is my jam??

Oh the love and friendships, and the family relationships that were described and how much support they had just made me love this even more. Family isn't always blood but when family works the way it's supposed to?? I love it, give me more!!! And that ending?!!! I can't wait !!

Regina Hobbs is nerdy by nature, businesswoman by nurture. She's finally taking her pop culture-centered media enterprise, Girls with Glasses, to the next level, but the stress is forcing her to face a familiar supervillain: insomnia. The only thing that helps her sleep when things get this bad is the deep, soothing voice of puzzle-obsessed live streamer Gustave Nguyen. The problem? His archive has been deleted.

Gus has been tasked with creating an escape room themed around a romance anime…except he knows nothing about romance or anime. Then mega-nerd and anime expert Reggie comes calling, and they make a trade: his voice for her knowledge. But when their online friendship has IRL chemistry, will they be able to escape love?
***Snippet Reviews: Called that because I don't want the review to be longer than the book***

I highly recommend this one and also recommend that you go on Alyssa's website and view the concept art for the manga series the book is 'based on'.

Reggie is the sister of Portia and the 'successful' twin who seemed to have it all together with a popular blog that she uses to help women geek out (I love that there are actually black geek websites that this reminds me of) called Girl With Glasses. She's a having a difficult time right now and she has never relied on anyone for anything and now she has to ask a 'stranger' to help her out.  She used to be one of the only viewers of livestream and now the owner has taken the archives down and she needs his voice to fall asleep. Using her skills she sends him a persuasive email requesting his help. when they start talking they discover that he needs help with a project for work that has to deal wtih her favorite anime. Like she's the biggest fan and even has all the paraphernalia throughout her home.

As the story advances the two get to know each other as not just two geeks who are sharing the love. Well really it's Reggie who loves the show and Gus who is learning what a romantic anime is about. I loved them together. I loved the rep that's in the book. I loved how they were both so strong in their careers but struggled with interpersonal relationships because #Same. There are so many different things tackled in this small story and really wish we had gotten more from them because I could totally read more about them for a few hundred more pages. It's a cute sexy romance that challenges your beliefs on those that are 'different' .

Also on a totally different topic, I need more publishers to print the ebooks, I love looking at my shelves and seeing these up there next to the book instead of just in ebook form. I know I might be in the minority but that's fine. I love them.

I highly recommend this one, especially because it doesn't just tackle the romance but has a great relationship between the sisters and them working to get back to being happy without their terrible parents.

Synopsis:
She didn't want to need him.

Murder brought self-help guru Rachel de Luca and Detective Mason Brown together. Their shared secrets drove them apart. But now they're together again in this riveting novella that begins where New York Times bestselling author Maggie Shayne's Sleep with the Lights On ended.

She may have been blind for twenty years, but Rachel's always had an uncanny gift for seeing through people—and she distrusts her assistant's new boyfriend at first sight. Amy isn't interested in Rachel's misgivings, though. She's too eager to celebrate Thanksgiving by introducing her family to the new man in her life.

Then Amy doesn't show up for the holiday….

Desperate to find her missing friend, Rachel has no choice but to turn to Mason. Their investigation into Amy's disappearance takes them ever deeper into danger—and reignites the attraction that they've both sworn to resist. Now it's a race against time as these reluctant partners fight to stave off passion and save a life.
I snagged this one even though I wasn't reading the series yet, and I'm so glad I did. This picks up a few months after the events of book one.  Mason & Rachel have decided to give themselves some time to come to terms with what happened and also Rachel is new to having sight and wants to make sure she's really getting to know the 'new' her.

However, this new talent she's developed won't let her have some time. She senses when a friend is in grave danger and goes to Mason to get help. This is a brief story, really it's a chance to advance the narrative and give them a quick case to solve. Even though this isn't completely solved at the end. It's a way for Rachel and Mason to realize what was happening between them wasn't based on the case and it isn't going anywhere.  We also get the beginning of a new case and one that wasn't solved and you just know it's going to come back to haunt them as well.

I enjoyed this quick read and can't wait to see where the full case goes.

A daring collection of never-before-published erotic desire from four of the hottest names in paranormal romance. Four of the most sizzling authors of paranormal romance take readers beyond their wildest fantasies, to a seductive midnight world of erotic suspense, demons, mages, vampires, and knights. A world of queens with devilish secrets, and of demons with secret desires. So dangerous and fun, readers may never want to come back down to earth again...
Matthias Slaughter and Grace Anderson were meant to mate. To love. Until Grace catches Matthias in the act of assassinating a suspected council scientist. She knew he was dangerous, knew he wasn’t the sort of man she should love. She expected him to kill her as well. She didn’t expect the man he revealed himself to be, or the love she can no longer deny. But there are other forces determined to take Grace from Matthias. Forces that just might succeed in destroying what is left of the man within him.
A quick fast read. A great addition to the series, funny and quick witted characters.  I loved that Grace wasn't wowed after she discovered who Matthias was, she gave him hell for deceiving her and made sure he understood that she wasn't going to be bullied.

The story that unfolded was a good addition to the overall series, showcasing a few more characters while tying up a few loose ends from other stories and of course giving us a hell of erotic read as well.

It's short so I can't really go any further without spoiling, just know that Grace is awesome, even though she's scared she's still one hell of woman.

<<< NOT A SPOILER FREE REVIEW, SPOILERS DISCUSSED>>>>>

I re-read this to see if I remembered right. And I did remember right, this was terrible. It's the worst book I've read so far in the series.  This as clearly written before she changed the chronological order of the obooks, but my god this is bad; also clearly written before the books became more mainstream after being picked up by Berkley.

Wolfe kidnaps Hope who is his mate, she also happens to be the daughter of the main scientist in his creation lab. A sadist if there ever was one, Hope's mother took pleasure in tormenting the wolves in the lab and Wolfe in particular, especially after she realized that her daughter was Wolfe's weakness.

You would think that a man who was tortured by this woman would take nothing she says as gospel. And yet he does and he allows it to color the way in which he interacts with and treats his mate.  I hated this book because the entire time he's not just a dick to his mate, he assaults her.  After he drugged and kidnapped her, she awakens to find that her clothes have been shifted and he's clearly touched her based on her body's responses, responses she knows can only happen if he touches her intimately.  Then he admits to touching her and inspecting her while she was knocked out to verify what her mother stated. Sooooo you digitally raped her and touched her without consent because Mommy dearest made a comment you didn't like?? OK F*ck off.

Poorly written as an erotica, and it's rape dressed up as mating heat.  He uses the excuse that he needs to know what her mother's plans are as a reason to strip her naked and use her body's responses against her, despite her stating that it would be rape he doesn't back off.  He states he's going to torture her with sex to get her to talk.

Knowing she was his mate even before the rescues on the lab, he left her to be tortured by her own mother, and I'm supposed to believe he did it because she was only 17 and he was trying to protect her??  No she's 24 and he's ok with coming back into her life because he can catch her mother at the same time??  How do you claim to love someone and insult their honor and integrity at the same time.  Then fondle them without their consent as a 'punishment' for perceived slights??

NOPE. I don't like this and I'm not going to pretend this as ok in anyway shape or form. NOPE!!

Synopsis:
Set in the world of the bestselling title Legend Beyond the Stars, an erotic novella about two warriors who have lost the ability to desire, and the human woman who is about to wake them up. Fran must have been crazy to leave her ordinary, safe life and volunteer as a colonist to terra-form a new earth. Now she is trapped in a prison cell on an alien planet a zillion miles from home and bound for a hideous death in notorious research chambers. She has one chance of escape: awaken the long dormant sexual urges of the Darkon Warriors shackled in the next cell. It’s a desperate job, but someone has to do it.
I wasn't aware when I got this that it was a part of a series.  It doesn't necessarily read like a novella, this could have been it's own novel if it had been fleshed out a bit more.

The character whose name we don't learn until the end is one of  a few colonists who were sent to terra form a new planet and wondered into a intergalactic war, they are stolen and sold by slavers to a man who wishes to experiment on them.  We find them when they are already at the lab center and are being kept prisoner.

In the cell next to them are a few warriors known for their powers, who have been asleep and only Earth women can wake them.  Yeah since this is an erotica you can imagine just how she has to wake them.

It's a quick story, that is both sensual and erotic. It however left so many strings un-tugged because it's a novella between novels. I felt had this been given the time it would have made a good story, especially if we got to know them better.

I've read some really good books by Kaitlyn O'Connor that are fleshed out and give great story and world building as well.  IF you're in the mood for Science Fiction Erotica I highly recommend her.

She should be scared of her dominating, fierce captors…but there’s something wicked inside her that’s craving to obey their every dark desire. Melinda eagerly throws in with her three smoldering fugitives…and soon realizes that these are no ordinary bank robbers—and that bad guys aren’t always who they seem. But will her delicious captors overcome their own demons enough to let her in? And can these underdogs fight an evil conspiracy that’s larger than all of them? Warning: This book contains a sexy bank-robbers-and-their-captive sandwich, light bondage, spanking, teasing hints of domination, and a little play-time in a hot tub. Oh, and some all-too-delicious alpha heroes who bend the heroine to their will.
I got this book for free on Kindle and I needed a quick read, so I grabbed it this weekend.  It started as a fun read and then tried to get serious. I wasn't aware that is was a series when I got it.

I'm sure to some this book would be interesting and there certainly were a few moments that pulled you in a made you really want to know what was going on, but then some inconsistencies would happen and back to being lost you go.  Overall though the book was kinda scattered an when I finished I also felt scattered like wait, so what just happened??

Was it supposed to be a fun fluffy erotica?? Because that's how it originally started, then it got serious and I wanted more from it and it just didn't deliver.  I was so lost the sex at times was good and at others I was like "meh", when she would get pulled out of the scene so would I and then I just never felt like it got hot enough to get back into it.  I don't know I just wasn't really feeling it.

I didn't get much from the other characters, we only got glimpses of who they were and it wasn't enough to really feel connected to them or their story.  The scenario seemed a bit far fetched like there are way better ways in which to seek freedom and I don't buy that you are this connected and you still don't know their real names, Nah bruh.

It had it's moments and it was fun while reading, if you can ignore the silly/crazy/slow moments that don't really fit.  In the end kinda forgettable.

Snippet Reviews: The Fetish Box 1 & 2

Snippet Reviews are books too small for their own full blown reviews.

I'm putting these two together because they literally cut the book off mid-sentence from book 1 then pick right back up in the same place in book two, then do it again for book two to book three. I didn't go past book two. Chapter books annoy me!!  Now the premise sounds so cool

An enchanting eBook debut about a world where your fantasies come true and nothing is quite what it seems. Come on in to realize your heart’s darkest desire...Virginal twenty-two-year-old Mary has just inherited a sex shop in Florida from her mother. After a long drive from California, she arrives at her deceased mother’s house only to be confronted immediately with two equally sexy strangers: the strong, silent John and the irre verent, taunting Max. She’s innocent, almost completely untouched, but feels a completely uncharacteristic pull to each man. Shocking even herself, she realizes it’s not an unwelcome desire.Max is a playboy who knows how to give women what they want, but John… John might just be able to give Mary something even she doesn’t know she needs…
So yeah she inherits a sex shop and boom we are in the story.   It starts off as a good basis for the novel and I was all in for it because at first it's all light and fluffy and then she meets Max, not FIVE minutes later he's got his hands down er pants, and not in the OMGawd he's so hot lets throw caution to the wind sexy stuff, no it's I'm a creep who just met you let me back you up to the counter and maul you, because it's sexy. NO SIR

I'm not a fan of Max, the other characters don't have a favorable view of him either.  I do however like the premise and what seems like a good heating up possible romance between Mary and John.  I do like the sound of it, and I want to finish it. Although I'm not happy they cut off in the middle of a scene to end the book.
Book Title: Fetish Box Book 2: What Escapes

The breathtaking second installment in the Fetish Box eBook series…open the box and see what escapes…Mary is surprised by the deep feelings that follow in the wake of her first sexual encounter, but fascination with her lover John doesn’t dim her desire for the unapologetically lusty Irish bar-owner, Max. Feeding one hunger has unleashed other needs, and Mary wants to experience everything her new life has to offer
...WTF?!!! They literally cut the book off in mid-sentence, not even in a cool cliffhanger way, just...YEAH NO. Especially because of the way it was ended, that scene with that character??? I'm so done, I don't even want to know what happens next.

I dislike Max and the female character.. what's her name again? Mary yeah, at first she had a personality now she's just blahhhhh.  I like John as a character, Mary could be better, where is the witty girl from book one?? Look just because your mom was one way doesn't mean you have to do it the same exact way. I personally liked the side characters more than I liked the lead. I'm just ugh this book is so boring.
This is going to be for both little novellas:  The covers are pretty, the premise steamy, execution?? NOPE!!
★1/2☆
I'm so glad I went with my initial thought, I despise Max, especially after the last few pages before the end. Hell No will not be continuing this series. I'm done, don't recommend at all.  Have you read these books?? Chapter Books?? Maybe if I read the whole book it wouldn't be so bad??? I don't know y'all share in the comments section and let me know what you think.

Book Title: The Dominant (The Submissive Book 2)

Series/Standalone: Series
Format: paperback
Cost: $15.00

Synopsis:
Because every story has two sides. Nathaniel West doesn’t lose control. As the playboy CEO of West Industries, he governs the boardroom during the day; as a strict dominant with exacting rules, he commands the bedroom at night. He never takes on inexperienced submissives, but when Abigail King’s application comes across his desk, he breaks his own restrictions and decides to test her limits. Abby’s combination of innocence and willingness is intoxicating, and Nathaniel is soon determined to collar her as his own. As long as she follows his orders and surrenders herself fully to him, no one will get hurt. But when Nathaniel begins falling for Abby on a deeper level, he realizes that the trust must go both ways—and he has secrets which could bring the foundations of their entire relationship crashing down...

Did I mention that I read this book in one day??! No, well now I have.  I totally loved this book; this time we're hearing from Nathanial instead of Abigail and let me tell you it puts a different spin on several of the incidents from book one.

We learn more about Nathaniel and why he is the way he is, we learn his motivation for choosing Abbie. OMGosh the struggle to accept the relationship as it was, and even the struggle with the decision to both end it and change it. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book because we certainly saw a bit more of the thinking that led to certain fights, and even why Nathaniel seemed to be so aloof in the Submissive.

Reading from his point of view fleshed out the story and gave us even more information than just from Abbie's point of view. I loved reading about him seeking help from a friend who trained him and laughed a bit when we went over those days that Abbie was there. Yeah she totally missed out on some fun times.

Seeing their relationship from his POV made me love him even more as a character and certainly allowed me to see Abbie even more clearly than I did in the first book.

I loved this book so much and can't wait until the third book comes out, I have already pre-ordered it and can't wait until it gets here.  Once again the cover is beautiful and totally matches with the first novel, looking at them lined up on the shelf I get little tingles (yeah it's the little things y'all book nerd moment
 ★★★★
I'm excited to see what happens in the Training the third and final book in the series, will it be as good as these two?? I'm hoping so. I ghighly recommend!!

Synopsis:
Office Toy is an erotic MfMM (3 guys, 1 lucky gal) BDSM story of 8,400 words. Elle’s job interview starts with Cunningham throwing away her cheap clothes and sending his assistant to buy new outfits. He’s got her naked, so of course he’ll lay her out on the conference table and claim her mouth. Soon Elle is trussed up, all of her holes stretched full while three hot men have their wicked way. She loves her first tastes of liberated, naughty sex. But she’d better not start falling for her boss—no matter how safe he makes her feel—because while office sex is encouraged, romance is strictly forbidden.

What the F**k did I just read?? It's only 27 pages, how did, you know what?? This is a great porno style book. What I mean is.. thin reason for being there then all of a sudden the characters are having wild raunchy group sex.

If you just read the sex scenes it wasn't that bad, just as long as you didn't think about how she got there or worry about who some of the participants are supposed to be.  If that's what you're looking for, look no further, you have found it.

I so didn't see this coming because I don't like to read reviews before I read a book so not to be influenced. This was a total cover pick, I didn't want to read the premise and be disappointed, yeah that didn't work, I must admit that the cover is gorgeous; a kneeling submissive, yeah totally caught me,

Erotica Rating is 3 Steamy Stars, I would only read it for the erotic scenes, the 'plot' isn't worth it. If this was to be a contemporary romance?? I would hope to the gods above she was going to the police. No madam, not my style at all.  This is apparently a serial book, where they put out several pages at a time, nope I have no desire to continue with this series.

Have you read this?? What did you think??
