Carolyn is fast becoming one of my new favorite authors, I now have so many of her books and I just want to read them all!!! This newest book in the Cowboys & Brides series has got one of the funniest opening scenes I have read in a long tine.  I love the characters' interaction, even though Lucas makes himself into a real idiot those first few minutes (although I totally understand why).

As always whenever I read a Carolyn Brown book I get sucked back into my love of country music, I wrote two pages of music I wanted on my Christmas music list for next year, just from reading this book.  I always love reading her writing because the characters come across as so real, down to earth, fun, flawed, loving and just the kind of people you would want to know.  I loved how much Natalie was without a doubt one of the coolest women in the room, she handled everything life handed her and she didn't really complain too much.  She cool, she was confident and she totally rocked the heck out of Gretchen Wilson's Redneck Woman. I Loved it!!

The drama was low key in this book, but it sure was big on miracles. I loved that there wasn't insta~love in this one and that they built on a solid foundation that they had already established. Natalie's mama reminded me of my Grandmere so much; I loved her philosophy on life and that Natalie exuded it even when she was hiding out.  I loved how much the town was both part of the problem and the solution.

The chemistry between them was off the charts and made reading so sweet.  I loved reading the way they came together, the way they fought and the way their families interacted with each character.  It's a sweet romance and I can't wait to read more in the series and from Carolyn herself.   I especially want to read the rest of Lucas' ranch hands story, and of course the cattlemen in his club's stories as well.

What can I say about this book, umm yeah I disliked Shay as a character, I'm sure the author wrote her thinking she was making a woman who we could relate to, someone who had issues, she didn't have it all worked out, and she needed God to help her find her way. The only thing I got from this book was how freaking annoying Shay was. She was so freaking childish, even her daughter was more mature.

She is supposed to be a character led by God, but she was so easily led by others and what she thought others thought about her. I get that we are all human and that we seek approval, but this character??? It consumed her, and not in a way that made her relatable. She was one dimensional and it just rang false to me. I'm sorry but she doesn't deserve a man like Travis, he did all the work to make their relationship work. This is one of those rare times where I wasn't rooting for the couple to get back together,

Shay was just content to drift along in her misery, she wasn't willing to do anything different or try to make anything work. She was hell bent on being a whiny idiot and refused to move past that. Yeah as you can tell I didn't much care for her.

Shay is supposed to have an explosive temper, *which isn't healthy, but in this instance she's going to need it; hear me out*, she then thinks that Travis is cheating on her, instead of killing him *wait sorry that's my response* her response is supposed to be flipping out on him, she instead throws him out without confronting him, she just tells him," look lets not waste anymore time, I need you to leave", Really?? That's not how she was written in the first half of the book. For some reason Shay has a huge chip on her shoulder and she's angry all the time, she decides to get married to her high school sweetheart, yet she ignores many of the signs that he is feeling overwhelmed ( I'm not excusing his sorry a**, however, he gave ALL the signs that he was a bit of an a** and she so ignored it).

Travis for his part was a bit of a coward when he notices that his future bride refuses to consider leaving her town. She's a bloom where she is planted kinda gal, and even though she feels like the town people pity her she refuses to move and have a different kind of life. Travis makes her see she needs more than survival to be happy. I loved that he made her open her eyes.  I, at the end like the way they came together, but Shay is still not my favorite kind of character. I did love however that they are in my favorite state Montana!!

This book reminds me of why I love the library, don't like the book?? Simply return it, n

o need to throw it against the wall. It's not yours to worry about any longer. It's a good read, not a burn rubber to get it, but a good read none the less.

This is a short sweet Christmas romance.  The couple Seth and Layla met years ago and hit it off, but Seth took too long to make his move and Layla moved on.  Cut to a few years late, Layla's boyfriend has moved on and Layla's hurt. She pours herself into her new business venture and tries her best to land her dream job.

I loved reading this little novella, it didn't take long and it was sweet, Layla's a woman trying to prove to herself and to everyone else that she's not her father's daughter; but she's struggling with that, because small towns have long memories, of course it's never of your triumphs.

I'm intrigued to read the brother's story and to get to know the town. Madelyn seems like a great woman, and she helped Layla out when she could.  Personally, I wouldn't mind kicking Jessica at least once.  I loved that Layla was loyal and that Seth was so good to and for her.

For a very short novel it really got a lot of story told. I can't wait to check out more books by the author, and of course I have RSVP'd to all the other weddings happening this year. You can too.

My book ban didn't even last a week, but I'm going to start over, I won't be going anywhere near a bookstore, or Goodwill for a while so yeah. I have had a few of these on my list for a while. Seeing them for a $1 or 2 I couldn't pass them up, which yes I am aware that I have already broken the Project 45 ban. I have no self control.  But I saved a ton of money. Now I just need the last book and I can marathon the Wolves series and the others are supposed to be really good. Namesake was made into a movie so I'm going to read and do a Book/Movie comparison.

Drew & Sidney met a year ago in his resturant she came up for desert and never left.  One year later it's their anniversay & Drew decides to give his anniversary present he's going to give Sidney her deepest fantasy: a menage with the one man he trusts; his best friend Brody.

The love scenes between Drew and Sidney are extremely steamy. And the love scenes between the three of them are amazing. Although I love happy menage endings this ending came as a surprise & I actually really liked this one. Due to the love story already established between them; for me the ending wasn't a disappointment.

I do like Brody as a character and would love to read his story.  I give this five stars all around, including erotica stars.

I absolutely loved it. Mostly because I could relate to his struggle of wanting to belong at the same time, needing to be more.  His struggle was well written and evocative , the pictures made me laugh and think and rekindled my love of native studies, but also shamed me especially with the funeral scene; it made me angry as well, that scene showed the utter disrespect that others have for cultures they don't truly understand, but pretend they do.

This books brought up so many good and valid points that seem to be universal to all those who are oppressed.  The fight to have hope, the question of what is success, who defines it and why.  Generational oppression and the wounds people still carry, so much so that there no longer needs to be majority holding us *the universal minorities* down, as we are doing a fabulous job ourselves. As evidenced by the people who made fun of him for wanting more, for even thinking he's worth more.

I consider this a definite must read!!! I would recommend this to everyone, young adults, and adults, should read.  Alexie makes this a wonderful,hurtful, educating , and entertaining read. It's a definite recommend to read.

Project 45: TBR Cleanup

So all over the Booktube lands I have been hearing this buzz about Project 10, which is basically a way to stop purchasing books until you have read 10 books on your self. Well I'm way too behind for just ten books, so I thought why not do a Project 45 instead that way, I'll not purchase any books until I've cleaned up my TBR shelf a bit.

Yep, it's the last day, and one of my favorite topics, what is on my blogging wishlist. I think the easiest answer would be what isn't. In no particular order:

• I want an awesome blog design that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I like this one though so I'm not sure if I want to change it yet.
• I want followers who are interactive and fun
• I want to be able to do more vlogs
• Publish amazing reviews
• Be invited to Harlequin Headquarters just so I can breathe in the books
• Meet John Green and share with him how much TFIOS captures what it's like to live with a really sh*t diagnosis. Thank him for the brilliance he wrote;  Then kick him for that ending *sobs* *sobs so more*
• Go back to the Strand bookstore and explore every and I mean every nook and cranny. I just might go wild, maybe purchase some books. !!
• Create a brand for myself that others will know to look for adult and erotica/romance reviews here.
• Clean up my Netgalley review lists.
• Clean up my TBR Pile (yeah that's not really happening but a girl can dream)
• Cross post to all my Library Thing, Goodreads and Amazon links
• Be invited to join Amazon Vine ( hey she said wish it doesn't have to be grounded in reality)
• Be totally Brilliant at BEA this year so more publicists will want to work with me and then belows wish will come true. 
• Get more physical books instead of ebooks (actually grow the tener cojones to request physical books instead of just ebooks) 
• Find a way to write my reviews, read the books, post, live a real life, and read without something falling through the cracks. ( you see I put read on there twice right, yeah I want to read lots of books). 

There are way more things, but these are the ones I really want to happen in 2014. Some I can work towards, some will never happen this year, but at least it's a goal right?? Right??

BB New Year's Challenge: Blogger Horror Story

Horror story?? I'm a perfect blogger I would never have one of those...... ok where do I start?? Shall I tell you about sending the wrong review to a publisher?? Or crediting the wrong author in a tweet?? Maybe I should share how I wrote an amazing review, and put the wrong book info?? (to my credit it was late and I needed to post and go to sleep oops).

Or maybe I should share about scheduling two blog parties for the same day?? Then having the blog tour host spank me in the comments section?? Yeah fun times.  How about forgetting to edit the post, hitting post; then discovering spelling and grammatical errors all over the place??

Shall I wow you with how I scheduled a blank post with my review notes (for my eyes only) or how when I was just learning about Windows Live Writer I was too lazy to open a new document so I simply deleted all text I had written then wrote a new post, not knowing it was also deleting the already published post?!?

Nah I don't believe I have any horror stories to share. As I said before I'm a perfect blogger, I would never do silly things like that.

BB New Year's Challenge: How Do You Plan On Getting More Followers

How do I plan to bring in more followers?? Well I'm doing this blog hop aren't I?? I'm hoping that you will see my brilliance and decide to follow me and see my wonderful posts.  I'm looking to do more blog hops, participate in a few follow fridays, increase blog presence by sharing with authors and publishers my reviews so they can share with others. You know doing all the social sites and talking to people.

My main focus of course will be making sure my content in worth people coming back to, making sure I'm doing my reviews, posting hauls (because really we just want to see the books), and sharing any bookish things I do.  From there it's up to everyone else to decide if I'm worth reading (I am I AM!!).
Of course a few bribes giveaways won't hurt the cause either ( because I know I'm not the only one to love seeing the books and getting a chance to win one?? Oh baby where do I sign up??).

That's it, that's all I can think of, the only thing left of course is time, time for people to see that I'm not just here for the books (I mean four years people), but it will takes time, so I'll chip away at it until I reach the newest goal, then go from there.

BB New Year's Challenge: TBR Pile: How Many??

Yeah so I'm not even going to embarass myself and tell the whole truth. We'll just pretend that Rachel wants us to talk about physical books for review, not pleasure books, and certainly not ebooks. (oh gawd not the ebooks).  I certainly have a ridicous, toweting, large no no it's a managable list  I swear *sobs*.

I'm going to put my big girl pants on and tell you the whole truth and nothing but the truth:

These are my bookshelves, four bookshelves.  Most of them are double or triple stacked so yeah, there are alot of books to be read.

Personal(Pleasure Books :475
Library Books: 2
Physical Review Books: 3
Ebooks to Review: 35
Ebooks I Own not for review: who is really counting??  It's free so I'm clicking purchase, Don't Gimme that look.
Goodreads TBR: 3484 which is way better than 4000

Grand Total: 1,000,000 *Not the actual number, I quit counting once I hit the double digits.*

And I'm sticking to that number. I mean *sobs* I'm trying!!! It's only me right now. I will confess I have a few reviews that need to be posted. I have read quite a bit but haven't really written or cleaned up all the posts, I really need to stop procrastinating and get them done.  I love getting the books, and reading, I kinda suck on the other end. DON'T JUDGE ME. I'm working on getting it done.  I could just click and paste a filler post but I'm not, I'm writing well thought out reviews for each book, so it takes a little longer.  If you want to see some of the titles on this list, I have them all,  well  most, ok, no some of them typed up right here. BB New Year's Challenge: New Things You Will Be Doing This Year

Make sure to show some love to our wonderful hostess Rachel of Parajunkee's View.  

EVERYTHING. Lol this is a new blog for me.  My other blog was a lifestyle blog that got taken over by the books, so I kicked the books out and created this haven for them. Everything will be new here.  Mostly I'm aiming to do more bookish things this year.  I went to the Strand Bookstore and the Largest Barnes and Nobles in the World in December 2013, I would like to go back and spend hours perusing the shelves and finding little gold nuggets of awesome stories.  

My goal this year is to accomplish a few bookish bucket list items, including doing some non convention author signings, listening to an audio book,  seeing the inside of Harlequin Publishing, and actually reading a book before seeing the movie. LOL yeah my list is so daring.
