Synopsis:
Meghan Chase has a secret destiny; one she could never have imagined. Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school or at home. When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change. But she could never have guessed the truth - that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil, no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.
Where do I begin?? There are so many great moments within this book. I loved every second of reading it and laughed quite a bit.  Poor Meghan has no idea what life truly had in store for her and she's hell bent of getting her brother back.  From the moment we meet her best friend I knew something was up, I mean come on a guy who love pulling pranks and can never be remembered?? Yeah I read Shakespeare and A Midsummer Night's Dream is my all time favorite works from the Bard. I was here for it!!  I loved this version of Puck and I loved every second he was there to make us laugh.

This introduction to the series flew by for me, I read it in a few days because I had to put it down for work but every chance I got I was back in the book reading. The characters are all well written, the dialogue flows well, the plot was quick and the romance that is beginning to form?? Yeah I'm all here for it.

Of course this story wouldn't be complete without discussing Grimalkin the Cat who totally made them all look like fools a whole lot of the time and made us see things we overlooked. I loved every second of him being on the pages.

I just loved the hell out of this book. Luckily for me I don't have long to wait since I have the entire series so I'm able to dive right back into the next book.  It's just so engaging and funny and I loved that it flew by quickly and it was done well.
4 Witch Hats: Engaging Plot, Well rounded and well written characters. Great world building and wonderful cliffhanger to bring you into the second book.  It's a definite must add to your TBR Pile and a highly recommended read for the genre.

It's an adventure, it's a romance, it's a young woman finding herself, it's Faeries in all their glory and messiness and of course there is Ash. Hello!! I loved it and I know you will too.
